PDFee (formerly Image to PDF) is built so that there is nothing to disclose. The app has no user accounts, no servers and no analytics. Your photos and the PDFs you create never leave your device.

This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use PDFee, and explains your privacy rights. By using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Definitions

App refers to PDFee (formerly Image to PDF), the software program provided by the Company. Company (“we”, “us”, “our”) refers to Innofate, Netherlands. Device means any device that can use the app, such as a phone or tablet. Personal data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. You means the individual using the app.

Data we collect

None. The app does not collect, transmit or store personal data of any kind. It has no user accounts, no backend service and no telemetry.

Your photos and documents

When you select photos, the app reads them only to render the pages of your PDF. All conversion, merging, page reordering, layout, signing and compression happens locally on your device using the operating system’s own frameworks. Neither the source images nor the resulting PDF are uploaded anywhere.

Files you create are written to your device, and you choose what happens to them next through the standard iOS share sheet. Once you share a file, the privacy policy of the destination you choose applies to it.

Photo library access

The app uses Apple’s system photo picker, which runs outside the app. You choose exactly which photos to hand over, and the app receives only those. It is never granted access to your photo library as a whole, which is why iOS does not show a photo permission prompt.

Camera (document scanner)

If you choose to scan paper documents, iOS asks for permission to use the camera. The app uses Apple’s document scanner; the pages you capture are processed on your device and added to your PDF. Scans are never uploaded. You can turn camera access off at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Files

When you merge, sign or compress an existing PDF, you pick it through Apple’s system file picker. The app receives only the files you select and processes them on your device.

Settings you choose

Your preferences, such as default page size and export quality, are stored only in the app’s own storage on your device. They are removed when you delete the app.

Service providers

The app uses no third-party service providers, SDKs or processors.

Apple processes purchases and tells the app whether an active subscription or lifetime purchase exists. This exchange happens between your device and Apple. We do not receive your name, email address or payment card details, and we operate no server that could receive them. Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Everything the app stores lives on your device, and deleting the app removes it. Deleting the app does not cancel an active App Store subscription; subscriptions must be cancelled separately in your Apple settings.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to the processing of, and erase your personal data. Because we do not collect or hold any personal data, there is nothing for us to retrieve, amend or erase on your behalf: the data is already exclusively in your possession on your device. You may still contact us with any privacy question, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Children

The app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. It is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13.

Security

Because your photos and documents never leave your device, they are protected by the encryption and sandboxing of the device itself. The app opens no network connections of its own; purchase communication is handled by Apple over encrypted connections.

pdfee.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party fonts or scripts.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
